Local bus and rail timetables are available from Rawtenstall Library at Queen's Square, Haslingden Road. Information on Rossendale Transport's services can be obtained from their office next to Bacup Road - Tel 01706 212337.

A 24-hour travel information service is also provided by Traveline on 0870 608 2608.

Rail Services:
Ramsbottom and Rawtenstall are served by the East Lancashire Railway. This is a heritage line which runs from Bury and Heywood to Rawtenstall, with services limited at off-peak periods. Tel 0161 764 7790 for further information. Passengers with valid ELR tickets can also catch a free bus service from the Railway to Bank Street and the Market using the 482 and 483 services.

Bus Services:
Rawtenstall Bus Station offers services to towns such as Bacup, Blackburn and Burnley, with seasonal services travelling further afield to places like Blackpool, Fleetwood and Preston.

Senior Citizens within the Greater Manchester area may travel free on direct buses to Rossendale after 0930 Monday to Friday and all day Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays. Senior Citizens who are residents of Lancashire (other than Rossendale Residents) may travel to Rossendale on direct bus services for only 50p between the same hours.
